Large Colour Touchscreen with Excellent Visibility
The ID-5200E features the same large 4.3-inch colour touchscreen found on the IC-705 and IC-7300MKII. The intuitive touchscreen interface provides quick and easy access to essential settings such as frequency, operating mode and other key functions.

Automatic brightness adjustment optimises the LCD backlight according to ambient lighting conditions, significantly improving visibility and making it easier and more comfortable to view a wide range of information.

The First Mobile Transceiver with Waterfall Display
The ID-5200E is the first mobile transceiver to feature a waterfall display. The built-in bandscope provides detailed information about signal activity, band conditions and available frequencies.

The waterfall display makes it even easier to monitor signal activity over time and identify weak signals. Display modes include Center, FIX and FIX Scroll, offering flexible operation and excellent visibility.

APRS Ready
The ID-5200E supports APRS®*, a packet-radio communication protocol that allows real-time information such as location data, messages and weather reports to be transmitted and received.

APRS functionality is expected to become available by the end of 2027 via a free firmware update.

Independent Dual-Band Controls
The ID-5200E is designed for smooth and intuitive operation. The main tuning dial, volume control and squelch control are symmetrically positioned for easy access to frequently used functions.

Many commonly used menus, functions and quick settings are also assigned to dedicated physical buttons, allowing fast and effortless operation while driving or operating from the shack.

Memory Scope Function
The Memory Scope function displays the reception status of up to 31 channels (selected channel ±15) or 41 channels (±20) simultaneously in Memory or DR mode.

In addition to the scope display, the Center modes also support a waterfall display, providing an even clearer overview of activity across the selected channels.

Flexible Vehicle Mounting Options
The ID-5200E offers a wide range of flexible mounting possibilities for vehicle installations. Using optional accessories such as the MBA-20 controller bracket and MBF-1 mounting base, the unit can be securely installed in a vehicle.

Additional mounting solutions are available, including brackets for connecting the main unit and options for desktop installation.

The ID-5200E also features mounting holes compatible with the AMPS mounting pattern, RAM mounting systems and standard 1/4-inch camera tripod screws, providing maximum flexibility for custom vehicle installations.
